Ahoy there,
We don’t do genres. We do journeys. I’m Kenny Terkelsen—known as the artist Rdmatey. I’m 65, retired, and making music purely for the joy of it. After more than 50 years behind the kit, I’ve traded band rehearsals for studio experiments, blending live drums with synth, trance, and progressive rock to create instrumental tracks that tell stories without words.

I played in rock and metal bands from the early ’80s through the late ’90s. But as time goes by, things change. In 2022, while programming sound triggers for my Alesis Strike Pro kit, I stumbled into a new way of making music—layering clips, building tracks, and discovering the power of Ableton Live 11. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion.

Now, with over 50 songs and six full catalogs, I’ve carved out a style that’s hard to define but easy to feel. My music is cinematic, chaotic, emotional, and always driven by live drums. Machines can’t swing like a human—and that’s why I play.
